Q.How long have you been in fitness?

A.Since high school. I was very avid in sports since I was 8 or 9 years old. I

I played volleyball and softball in junior high school. I was a long distance runner in high school. I was really skinny wasn't able to lift a lot at first. I got my first gym membership from my mother after high school. I  love helping friends that want to get in shape. They always seem to come to me for advice.

Q. What is your training schedule like?

A. Training Schedule: I split up my body parts in order to build up more mass to my muscles.I  purposely put on a couple pounds the last few months so I can develop more symmetry. I am usually at the gym 3-5 times a week. I am doing more cardio to chisel muscles in order to compete this year. In my last competition I came in too skinny so I am meeting with a trainer in January to help me  with posing and spot areas that need extra work.

Q.What kind of supplements do you take?

A. Beverly international. My body seems to respond best to Beverly International supplements as well as  Fish oil, CLA and Pyruvate. Pyruvate is responsible for converting any sugar to burn rather than to store in fat cells. I use the NOW foods Brand.

Q. When was the last time you competed?

A.Competed in NPC in 2006, (2) in 2007, and I plan to be on stage in May 2013. at the Kevin Noble Grand Prix Nat’l BB, Bikini, Figure- GP National figure

Q. How did you get the Taboo Model Name?

A. I wanted something different and that was going to stand out and my dog's name was  Taboo. He looked just like Todo from The Wizard of OZ. I borrowed his name and the rest is history!

Q. Have you been published?

A. Yes. I was recently published in a  Motorcycle magazine.

Q. How did you handle turning 40? What if any changes did you notice?

A. I wish agencies and other publications thought the way Aphrodite does. Being 40 I  sometimes feel pigeonholed and passed over for jobs because men want to see 25 year olds. But being in my 40’s is fabulous.  I feel better,  look better and I am in better shape than I was 20 years ago. I always get told that I look like in in my lower 30’s. It’s what you eat and how you look at life. I try to approach life in a very positive way. I turn negatives into positives. Being a single parent is a challenge but I try to make the best of it.

Q. Why did you send in your photos to Aphrodite?:

A. Because I love how Aphrodite wants to empower women of all ages.  I am an avid reader of fitness magazines and I see models and actress in their 60’s and 70’s still in the fitness industry.Magazines seem to migrate with the models on the covers…I remember when Monica Brandt started gracing the covers of fitness magazines in the 90’s. Monica is in her 40’s and so is Gina Ostarly…she looks great in her 40’s as well. It's all  in how a woman’s outlook is…I love how magazines like Aphrodite embrace our age and put women like me on the covers. Magazines should not just market to just 20 year old's.'s the women in their 30’s, 40’s 50’s…most of the ages of the women I see at the gym.
