FAMILY/KIDS BICYCLING IN-PERSON LESSON SERIES
The Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition in partnership with the town of Windsor are offering in person on bike lessons.  

Learn to Ride a Bike for Kids (Ages 5-11) Is your child struggling to learn how to ride a bike? Through step-by-step engaging instruction, our patient instructors will help them learn to balance and get rolling. A maximum of one accompanying adult is required to provide support for the child.  Dates:  3/3/21; 4/7/21; 5/12/21; 6/16/21

Bicycle Skill Building – Kids Only (Ages 8-11) Kids are trained on bike handling, safety skills and rules of the road through various fun agility courses on our blacktop! Kids must bring their own working bicycle and helmet, and be able to ride a bike without assistance.

Family Bicycling Part 1: Bicycle Skill Building for Parents & Kids (Toddler-Adult) Join us for a lesson covering essential tips and tricks for confidently bicycling with the whole family.  All participants must bring a working bicycle and helmet. Children unable to ride independently must be in a bike seat or trailer. At least one accompanying adult is required to participate.
Dates: 2/10/21; 3/17/21; 4/21/21; 5/26/21; 6/30/21

Family Bicycling Part 2: Instructional Neighborhood Ride for Parents & Kids (Toddler-Adult) Join us for a lesson where we model best practices for riding on the road with the whole family, including safest positioning, navigating intersections, defensive riding, and more. All participants must bring a working bicycle and helmet. Children unable to ride a two-wheel bike independently must be in a bike seat or trailer (no training wheels). At least one accompanying adult is required to participate. Dates: 2/17/21; 3/24/21; 4/28/21; 6/2/21;

Teen Independent Bicycling Workshop (Ages 12-14) Acquire the street navigation and bike handling skills needed to safely, confidently, and independently ride to/from school, in the neighborhood, and beyond. Workshop combines blacktop drills with an instructional neighborhood ride where kids practice safe positioning, navigating intersections, defensive riding, and more.  Dates: 2/24/21; 3/31/21; 5/5/21; 6/9/21

All participants must bring a working bicycle and helmet.
10 participants maximum, masks required. Rain cancels.
