Nikki Lund Takes on Fashion, Music, and Motherhood with Confidence

The name Nikki Lund has been synonymous with high-fashion for the last fifteen years, dressing celebrities like Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Steven Tyler, Blake Shelton, and Brad Paisley, to name a few. With her fashion brand still going strong, she has now ventured into two new roles: Billboard Chart topping singer/songwriter, and mother.
The fashion world welcomed Nikki with open arms with her blend of femininity, confidence, and obvious sex appeal. Her recently launched “10 Essential Items” collection offers a variety of glam-casual apparel mixed with powerful statement pieces, perfect for the everyday woman ready to take the world by storm. While Nikki’s vision for fashion was previously reserved for Hollywood’s elite, these items are now available to the public on her website, shop.nikkilund.com.
“The inspiration for this line was definitely getting pregnant” said Nikki. “I didn’t know how to dress or what to wear anymore, so I wanted to do something that was boxier and more versatile. I’m a working woman on the go and I needed pieces that I could wear to a meeting then flip around and wear to a party afterwards.”
Nikki has proven herself to be an entrepreneur, building her brand and name, and forming a strong reputation with her clients as the founder, CEO, and designer at Nikki Lund Clothing. She admits that if she could dress any celebrity in the world, it would be Kate Moss, who she considers a strong international businesswoman and fellow entrepreneur.
While fashion has made Nikki a force to be reckoned with, her other love, music, is a testament to her versatility as a brand. She’s been signed by Dauman Music and is managed by Larry Rudolph, who is famously known for managing superstars such as the Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake.
Her song “Love Overdose” graced the Dance Club Billboard Charts in the top 20 in March of 2016, alongside artists such as Coldplay and Adele.
“‘Love Overdose’ is kind of an oxymoron in a weird way. Can you ever have too much love?” Nikki said of her hit song. “At the time I wrote it I was getting into a new relationship with my now fiancé, who’s the father of my child. And every time we were together, it was a love overdose; I just wanted to be with him more. It’s a good thing. It’s a positive thing.”
When asked what it feels like to have her music make the Billboard Charts, right along with some of the people she has designed for, Nikki admits that it’s a dream come true.
“It was such a surprise,” she gushed, “to be right next to Lady Gaga and Beyoncé. It was awesome. And such an amazing thank you from my fans—and the music community—who appreciate what I do.”
When her son, Hendrix, was born in February 2017, Nikki added “mom” to her growing number of titles.
“My life has changed for the better,” said Nikki. “I prioritize and organize myself much more, and feel I'm way more efficient and productive. I also waste less time because I cherish the time I have to myself.”
Fashion designer. Singer/songwriter. Entrepreneur. And now, mother. Nikki Lund continues to add to her list of accomplishments and shows no signs of slowing down.
With new music set for release in the coming months, the continued success of her fashion brand, and her new family, Nikki is at the top of her game professionally and personally.
“One word I would use to describe myself is ‘blessed’.”
