My name is Jim Horton, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, a retired police officer of 20 yrs,, father of 4 grown children and grandfather of 5 adorable grandchildren. With my wife, Sandy, at my side, I have have been able to continue my 15 yr photography experiences and capture all of what the world has to offer.
I see myself as someone who's passionate about everything I do. I photograph all kinds of work but my specialty is working with the 40+ crowd because they have so much to offer too , and it's wonderful to bring a smile back to those who have so much to live for.
I like shooting in natural light in a soft portrait focus format. My interest in photography are in classic composition, proportion (harmony & balance) and sensibility.
I am always working on new ideas combining women with nature. I have found that the models I work with have great ideas and my best work comes from combining these ideas with my own. I am hoping to find people that can work with me and together the possibilities are endless.
"You must not find symbols in everything you see. It makes life impossible."
"You're only young once, and of course, you're only as young as you feel.......so take advantage of your good fortune. Thanks for stopping by, I certainly appreciate it.
"I truely believe that "Age Is Just a Number."
.....Live your life and forget your age. Nobody grows old by merely living a number of years. People grow old by deserting their ideas. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up... wrinkles the soul. Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.
Don't go through life, grow through life and in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.....
" They say they built the train tracks over the Alps between Veinna and Venice before there was a train that could make the trip...they built it anyway. They Knew that one day the train would come !
Any arbutrary turing along the way, and I would be elsewhere..I would be different
What are four walls anyway,,,they are what they contain, ..the house protects the dreamer..unthinkably good things could happen... even late in the game..It's such a surprise"
Again, thank you for stopping by.
