What NOT to Wear When Paddle Boarding

First time paddle boarding but have no clue what to wear? No worries! Here is a quick and easy paddle boarding 101 on what NOT to while participating in the sport.
-
1. DON’T WEAR JEWELRY
We all know that diamonds are a girl’s best friend but not when it comes to paddle boarding- unless you want your “best friend” to leave you with blisters or actually leave you and disappear in the water.
-
2. DON’T WEAR TOO MUCH MAKEUP
We all want to look nice in everything we do, but too much makeup in the water could end with you looking like a wet raccoon. Go for the natural look and make sure that all the makeup products you use have SPF and are waterproof.
-
3. DON’T WEAR COTTON MATERIAL CLOTHING
Synthetic material like polyester is optimal. Wear biking clothing, yoga pants, rash guards, or just a swimsuit, depending on the weather!
-
4. DON’T FORGET YOUR LIFE VEST
Especially if you’re a newbie at paddle boarding, a life vest is a must. Don’t skip out on safety because you think it’s not stylish. Just remember, it’s not stylish if you’re dead.
-
5. DON’T FORGET SUNSCREEN
There’s nothing worse than getting burned by the sun and going through the pain of your skin peeling the next day. Even if there is no sun or if your goal is to get tan, still apply sunscreen because being tan is not worth getting skin cancer!
